| Students ask: "What do I graduate with?" |
| Graduates of CTG earn Factory Credentials which are fully recognized by the manufacturer and the hiring dealers. This typically takes 5 to 10 years off of your training cycle as each credential represents one instructor led course. In the dealership environment technicians usually get only one or two instructor led courses per year.
Following is an example of the time benefit to CTG Training:
- BMW STEP covers 18 BMW instructor lead courses
- If your dealer sent you to three courses per year (typically they can only afford to lose you for 1 to 2 courses per year), it would still take 6 years to complete 12 instructor led courses
For details about the training you receive, check out the Training Overview for each program. |
| Students ask: "Will I make more money?" |
| Since CTG Graduates have earned the factory credentials and practiced their skills on live vehicle during training, we find that they move up rapidly. Most graduates become flat rate technicians within the first 6 months (some top students have made in as little as 2 weeks). Our records indicate that CTG graduates out earn mechanics without manufacturer specific training by $6,000 to over $16,000 per year. Imagine the kind of impact that extra income would have on your lifestyle.
Also, with CTG you are typically saving 5 to 10 years off your training cycle. You've probably heard the old adage; "Time is Money". Very true. |
| Students ask: "How do I get accepted to Brand X?" |
| Be careful here. We find that sometimes students are so focused on one particular brand that they lose sight of the tremendous opportunity. All of the CTG programs get graduates well on their way to being a flat rate technician (probably less than 6 months). In fact most graduates are well on their way to becoming Master Certified technicians. If in 16 to 27 weeks you can get most of the credentials needed to become a master tech, does the brand really matter?
We encourage students to pursue their brand of choice = Brand X. However, since application to a CTG program is highly competitive, we encourage students to be open to a 2nd or 3rd opportunity in case Brand X does not work out. Remember, it's about the Opportunity, not the Brand! |
